PR & PUBLICATIONS EXECUTIVE

A vacancy exists for a PR & Publications Executive to join the Marketing Team at Cox & Kings Travel Ltd.

The successful applicant will have: a minimum of 2 years experience in marketing, including PR (ideally travel-related), or a high level of product knowledge across a spread of Cox & Kings' destinations; exceptional ability to communicate accurately, concisely, confidently and intelligently, both verbally and in writing; highly literate with an exceptional eye for written and design detail. The expectations regarding attention to detail are very high for this role; a strong interest and experience in relevant travel; ability to work proactively under own initiative as well as in a team; organised and methodical. Ability to work to deadlines; exceptional ability to learn and retain a great deal of new information quickly; computer literate, thorough knowledge of Excel and Word Proficiency, plus, ideally, a knowledge of the essential elements of Acrobat, Quark, Indesign, Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator software.

Travel experience to Cox & Kings specialist destinations is preferred but not essential. Likewise, sound knowledge of Cox & Kings product and regions is an advantage.

Salary offered is commensurate with experience.

TOUR CONSULTANT - FAR EAST, AUSTRALIA & NEW ZEALAND

An opportunity has arisen for a Tour Consultant to join our sales team. The position will include selling brochure tours as well as designing and costing tailor-made itineraries for independent travel to Far East, Australia & New Zealand. The ideal candidate will have an excellent knowledge of the region gained by relevant travel experience along with a passion to sell the destination.

Good sales techniques and an excellent telephone manner are required. The position requires attention to detail, the ability to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure whilst maintaining a focus on excellent customer service. Applicants need to be computer literate with good writing/keyboard skills. Previous travel industry and CRS (ideally Worldspan) experience is preferred, though not essential.

Salary offered is commensurate with experience.
